We're very excited to have The Farmstead Lodges now stock our products!
The Farmstead is a ‘back to nature’ retreat in the heart of the Suffolk countryside comprising eight luxury self-catering lodges.
Check out our new Q&A with them below:
Tell us about the beginnings of The Farmstead and the inspiration behind it?
Ali and Sian Kerr, owners of neighbouring Easton Grange wedding venue, opened The Farmstead in 2022.
Built on former farmland, their vision was to create luxury self-catering cabins inspired by the rural environment they are situated in.
Sustainability was a guiding principle of the build. Reclaimed scaffold boards and other reclaimed materials feature both internally and externally, and the land surrounding the lodges is being rewilded.
If a visitor asked for your favourite Norfolk Natural Living product, which would you choose and why?
My favourite Norfolk Natural Living product is the Coastal Walks Nourishing Hand Cream! The Coastal Walks scent is a staple at The Farmstead and this pocket sized cream leaves my hands feeling soft and fresh.
Describe a typical working day at The Farmstead?
Each day is very different, I could be arranging welcome packs and check-ins for our guests, working on our next giveaway, responding to enquiries, or dealing with suppliers. I love the variety each day brings.
If you were visiting Suffolk for 48 hours for the first time, what would you recommend?
There is so much to see and do in Suffolk, 48 hours isn’t enough! I personally love a stroll along the beach in Aldeburgh, it’s a beautiful seaside town with lots of cute and cosy cafes to visit as well as finer dining options like The Suffolk! Snape Maltings is also a great place to visit for entertainment, a light lunch, or just to browse their independent shops. Finally, I recommend visiting Framlingham Castle. Not only is this a majestic piece of history, but also the inspiration behind Ed Sheerans hit song “Castle on the Hill”.
