There's nothing quite like slipping into bed or wrapping yourself in a fresh, vibrant towel. But over time, our linens can start to lose their brightness. Don’t worry—there’s a natural and quick solution at hand! In this blog, I’ll show you how to bring back the brilliance to your bedding and towels, the natural way.
How to Brighten Your Bedding Naturally
Before we dive in, let’s gather your essentials:
- Natural Laundry Detergent and Fabric Softener
- Alternative Bleach
- Natural Stain Remover
- A basin or sink
- Plenty of natural sunlight
Step 1: Sort & Scan
Bright, plush linens start with proper sorting. Separate your sheets and towels from the rest of your laundry to avoid bunching and tangling during the wash cycle. Next, give your linens a quick scan for any stains that need extra attention.
Step 2: Pre-Treat Stains
Identify any stubborn stains on your bedding or towels. Apply a Natural Stain Remover directly to the stains, gently massaging it into the fabric. This powerful yet gentle formula will work to break down stains without compromising the integrity of your linens.
Step 3: Soak & Swirl
Fill a basin or sink with lukewarm water and add the recommended amount of Alternative Bleach. Submerge your linens, ensuring they are fully saturated, and let them soak for the recommended duration—usually around 15-30 minutes, depending on the product instructions. This process will brighten whites and effectively remove any lingering stains.
After soaking, drain the water and wash your linens as normal using a Natural Laundry Detergent. For that extra soft and cozy feel, add a Natural Fabric Softener to the wash along with your detergent—your linens will thank you!
Step 4: Let the Sun Work Its Magic
Harness the natural power of sunlight by placing your linens in a bright, sunlit area to dry. The combination of natural cleaning agents and sunlight will work wonders in revitalising the colours of your bedding and towels.
